Each week what we offer at The Social Supermarket is always different but there is always a great selection of chilled items, cupboard staples, fresh fruit and vegetables as well as sometimes having treats or little luxuries to offer.
The items pictured below were on offer this week and is what you could have got for the suggested donation of £3.50. There was some great healthy staples like cheese, grapes and eggs as well as some great branded luxuries like Van Houten White Chocolate Powder and Ferrero chocolates. We worked out if you bought these items in a normal shop it would cost you £74.15! Each week we see on average 45 people – that’s a lot of people saving big and able to make their weekly grocery budget go further. And what makes it even better is all of this food is surplus so would otherwise be wasted.
So if you live in Buckfastleigh or the surrounding villages come along between 15:30-17:00 every Tuesday at Buckfastleigh Rangers Football and Social Club.
