Volunteering Opportunities with Little Lambs
We are so grateful to everyone that has supported us so far to make our early years group has such a wonderful, welcoming space. The group has gone from strength to strength and we are so excited to build upon the strong foundations that are now there.
We really want to thank the volunteers that have worked with us over the last 2 terms; Katherine, Lauryn and Rachel have been fantastic.
Volunteers are essential to our group and the running of it; to make all the great plans we have happen we need your support. We are creating a new bank of volunteers that we will be coordinating.
There will be great opportunities for volunteers; as well as knowing you are supporting the running of such a great early years provision, you will also be part of a great team of like-minded people, be given training opportunities and have the guidance of the Be Buckfastleigh team. Responsibilities would include opening and locking up, setting up activities and toys, preparing snack, providing adult refreshments and clearing up at the end of the session.
If you are interested in volunteering (even if you have been a previous volunteer or have registered interest in doing so) then please e-mail rachel@bebuckfastleigh.co.uk, including your mobile number.
THIS HALF TERM – Our First Special Session
One of the new things that we are bringing to the group is special sessions run or supported by other groups and organisations.
Our first one will be on Thursday 9th February at our normal session in St. Luke’s between 10:00-12:00. It will be drop in as usual, no need to book.
We are so excited about this! It will be full on 2 hour immersive experience for you and your little ones! Tiny Travels will be bringing to Little Lambs their African continent experience. There will also be an art activity area helping children and parents learn about the many Queens in Africa. Did you know that Africa has produced more women rulers than anywhere else in world history? Kate from Tiny Travels will also be bringing a great range of diverse books for you and your children to explore.
We cannot wait for this amazing event! It is as ever absolutely FREE, and welcome to all parents, carers and guardians with children under 5.
