I learnt today that in America on the 1st Saturday of every month they celebrate Hop a Park day; sometimes National days can seem a little crazy – like national hot cross buns day or national awkward moments day! But I truly think that this is something that we should adopt, it encourages people to explore local parks and offers an opportunity to reconnect with your community. It could be running an event in one, meeting friends for a picnic or simply heading there with your little ones for a play. So tomorrow if you can take some time to head over to one of your local parks. Living in Buckfastleigh I am spoilt with Victoria Park, Ducks Pond, Barn Park play park, and the park at Glebelands! Maybe I will see you at one tomorrow.
