Tomorrow it is World Earth Day and the theme is Invest in our Planet. It has got me thinking about ways that we here at Better Places invest in our planet. Recently we have run some epic workshops that are very environmentally conscious; including our Container Gardening Workshop and our Mend Assembly sessions. We also bring services and sessions to the hearts of our communities so that if you attend you can either walk or not have to do a long journey in a car. There are also little things like at our Little Lambs play group activities often include junk modelling, repurposing cardboard boxes into forts, making crafts our of recyclables and using out of date food for messy play.
Whilst our work is of course very community focused it is lovely to know that we do can make a difference to our whole planet.
