Today is the United Nations’ International Day of Democracy and this year the focus is on empowering the younger generation; making sure they have a voice in democracy and that they have a chance to have an opinion on the decisions that impact us.
I think that this is a wonderful thing to focus on and we here at Better Places are always excited to engage with all members of our community and want to ensure that the younger generations have a say in what happens in their community. After all they are likely to be most affected by decisions that are happening now.
So today we extend a special invitation to the younger generation to come along and take part in our community engagement at our Super Social Saturdays, volunteer at our Social Supermarket, take part in any surveys that we put out or simple drop into The Living Room when we are open. We want to hear you, we want your opinions and we want you to shape the community we all thrive in.
