Good afternoon! This Friday we have some news about nature and mental health; it got me thinking about how being in nature can have a positive impact on your mind.
Numerous studies have shown the huge benefit nature can have on mental health. Many think that for nature to improve our mental health we have to endeavour on a huge hike in the wilderness (we are very lucky to be very close to Dartmoor National Park to do this). However, there is actually more benefit in just paying more attention to the nature around us; the birds in our garden, the wild flowers on the verges or the trees outside our window.
Simply building a new relationship with nature by noticing it can have a hugely positive effect on your mental health.
