Hello Easter Activity Programme 11 to 14 April

GOOD NEWS! Be Buckfastleigh has received over £50,000 government support from The Holiday Activities and Food programme, distributed by Devon County Council, to deliver FREE, exciting, fun, quality activities and hot lunches for children in Buckfastleigh and in Bridgetown, Totnes during the school holidays throughout 2022!!
The first part of the programme will be Hello Easter HAF – 4 days of creativity, play, food and delight for families – 11th -14th April!
 
The programme will include:

  • Enchanted Easter art and craft day with Participate Arts, making bunny ears, Easter chickens, Spring flowers and eastern European style egg decorating
  • Seasonal animal puppet making (rabbits, hares, chickens or baby lambs) with Nature’s Wylde
  • Sunflower growing and breath powered space rockets with Libby,
  • Sporty fun games with Lennart de Vos
  • Inflatables
  • An Easter treasure hunt with a prize at the end
  • A take home easter activity pack

Each day different local food suppliers will provide hot lunches for the children and snacks will be available.
The sessions will take place at St.John’s Primary School in Bridgetown and in Victoria Park (or the town hall if wet) in Buckfastleigh from 10.30 to 2.30 each day (apart from Friday’s treasure hunt which will end with a yummy slice of pizza finishing by 1.30pm).
Sessions are drop-in and first come first served with 75 children’s places at each venue. Children under 11 should be accompanied by an adult, or responsible older sibling, with events designed for whole families to attend. Be Buckfastleigh will be offering a membership scheme to hear about events in advance, and make sign in quicker and easier on the day.
