Well we’ve made it to the end of February and there has been a shift in energy around the town this week. The Sun has shone, the wind has dropped, a dry spell of weather at last and the appearance of Spring flowers has lifted spirits.
As we move out of lockdown over the next couple of months, we are now looking to plan our programme for in person events and activities.
What would you like to happen?
If there is something which you would like us to explore delivering? Please let us know your thoughts. You can send us an email, drop us a message via our Social media or pop a note through the letter box of The Living Room on Fore Street.
Here’s your opportunity to help shape our Spring and Summer Activities.
Hot off the press and just in time for the spring sunshine, our latest guide is all about Russets Lane and Church Hill. This gorgeous guide has been produced and designed by Sheila Phillips of the Pengelly Cave Study Trust and John Walters.
Grab your copy from outside The Living Room and take a walk to explore the incredible history one of our town’s favourite spots.

Be Chatty #4
We had a really interesting conversation last Tuesday evening so thank you to everyone who joined in.
Our next discussion is on Tuesday 2 March.
Technology and Social Media – what is the impact on families, friendships, communities? What’s good, what’s not so good? Why do you think this way or that?
But before we start, share an object that has some significance to you and tell us why.
All welcome – young and old, male and female, black and white, left and right. Only rule is – don’t say anything that you think might offend someone. Everyone gets a go to speak, but it’s up to you to take it! If you want to listen, that’s fine too. See you there.
Tuesday 2 March 8pm

What People Say…
“We would like to say thank you so much for the lovely Riverford meals we have been able to have the opportunity to enjoy as a family. They are so delicious and healthy and being able to access a meal which has been prepared and cooked for us once a week is very uplifting to anyone’s morale, whoever they are. It has helped me personally to extend the time I can give to volunteering which benefits others and spending time doing something fun with my family, from board games to exercise. “

Testimonials and Feedback
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to give us some feedback. If you’ve not had a chance, please do take some time as it really makes a difference. As a registered CIC, our funding to support all of our activities and programmes is through fundraising. Part of the fundraising process is to evidence how this is making a difference to peoples lives and the wider community.
To capture this information we are looking for testimonials and recommendations from community members, who have participated in any of these event or activities and especially so over lockdown.
Do you have a testimonial or good news story which we could share? We’d love to hear it.
All of your feedback helps potential funders that we might approach in the future, see first hand the impact their funding, through our projects, will have on our community.
Send us a message with your good news stories or any suggestions about what projects you would like us to deliver.
That’s it for this week. Have a safe weekend!
